     Benedetto Montebello
Was born in Rome he is a composer and conductor. He graduated from “S.Cecilia” Conservatory of Music in Rome (obtained a first class degree). He obtained a master’s degree in music history from “La Sapienza” University of Rome (obtained a first class degree). Montebello studied “conducting” with L. Bacs, E. Simon, G. Kuhn and D. Gatti at “S. Cecilia’s” National Academy Orchestra.
He made his debut at a very young age in Anzio’s Festival; conducting Beethoven’s first piano-concerto and second symphony he received a sensational response.
From that time on, Montebello began a brillant career conducting lyrics and symphonic masterpieces of all time.
He collaborated with famous artists such as Katia Ricciarelli, Alexander Lonqvic, Federico Guglielmo, Vittorio Gasmann, Michela Sburlati, Antonio De Palma, Rosa Ricciotti and many more. In 1995 Benedetto Montebello was awarded the “Rinaldi” prize for conductors.
 
In addition, he conducted glamorous orchestras in Italy and abroad:

and many more. He prefers symphonic repertoires of ‘800 and ‘900, Verdi’s and Puccini’s works.

  In occasion of Verdi’s centenary, he directed Verdi’s Requiem and received a terrific response by the public and his critics. Montebello recorded on compact disk Guaccero’s complete orchestral works and Ennio Morricone’s “Third guitar concerto” with “S.Cecilia” National Academy Orchestra.

He is conducting teacher at “U.Giordano”conservatory of music of Foggia.
Montebello was principal guest conductor of “Concertando” Orchestra of Rome in 1996-97.
At present he is the permanent conductor of  “U. Giordano” Conservatory Symphonic Orchestra.
